This is the time where all the kinds of technology and science being developed insanely. Scientists and IT expert from around the world designing, creating, and presenting new things that assumed could help and make easy the life of human. Work, business, education, economics, government, country development, entertainment, reinforcment, health, and any other filed already impacted by the technology. Technology is becoming one of the most important things today, and this fact is undeniable (Skaržauskienė, 2013). Long-distance communication devices. Such as, telephone, gadgets, laptop, computer and etc. created with the aim of facilitating human life have deployed in almost all parts of the world. However, besides its advantage to make easy the life, there are other effects that arise. such as, the need for an internet network. Some existing technologies require the help of an internet signal to function optimally. However, it is not free. As the number of enthusiasts in various types of technology increases, so does the number of internet users (Ostic et al., 2021). where the problem is, this number shows that people might be already in need with the technologies and could be a symptoms of an addiction. In addition, related to the addicton, students might be got bad effect as they are the native generation of this technology era. Such as, problem with school and the study, mental health issue, and etc. Overall, technology is developed to help facilitate human life. But, there are other effects that emerge from it. So, wisdom is required in the use of technologies. In this digitalization era, one aspect from the growth of technology  that is developing rapidly is social media. Social media is a digital medium where people form a whole world could communicate with others. Likewise, it is used to share ideas, pictures, and videos with the help of internet connection. It changes people way of interact and share the information. Ting, Ming, Run, Choo (2015) states the way people communicate these days is dominated by using social media. At the same time, the development of social media brought some significant impact in society. The information that goes through the social media is speard as fast as the wind (Ostic et al., 2021). It makes the level of world transparency higher which has a good and the bad thing. The good thing is people gain a lot more information and knowledge about many things. The bad thing is, not all the things that being shared is needed even could be a bad thing. Moreover, it is increase the amount of fake news or hoaxes which could easily trusted by some people. In additional, the popular social medias have a big role for the spread of any knowledge to the society (Fan, Jiang, & Mostafavi, 2021). These facilities that could easily get by people make them in addiction to it. Thus, the use of social media is quite dangerous without high awareness especially the one that people used in daily basis, must used, and wants to used. One of the most popular social media is could not be denied Instagram. It is a free software application that appeared almost eleven years ago or in 2010 for more exact. It was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and then developed by Facebook. All these years it has a lot of progress in terms of the user and the features insid and that still happening  until now. Instagram helps people to communicate and share any kinds of information with the broad scoup, world (Toscano, 2017). The fact, with the updates of the features in it, Instagram has becoming an entertaining application that attracted many people. Such as, IG stories, IGTV, filters, and many more, stated (Alfonzo, 2019). These entertaining stuff bring some effect. Such as,  Baisa & Thoyib, (2012) states society experiences changes in manner towards others and in doing things. So, Famous social media like Instagram has become influence of social behavior changes in this era. Human beings interact and understand each other through an activity called communication. This is one field that really attached with the development of technology so that the term ICT exist. ICT or Information communication and technology is more focus on communication technologies. It is could be said information that spreads through a telecomunication and provided by the technology devices. For example, finding the information about a food recipe using a laptop as the technology and an online food blog written by someone as the source. According to (Ammanni & Aparanjani, 2016) In more specific field like education ICT plays a very important role these days and probably in the future. The learning material, methodologies, facilities, and etc. Could be fulfilled even might be far more interesting with ICT rather than traditional way. Nowadays, children are being exposed so much with the moderenization, a child tend to use their time with technoligies. Such as, gadgets, laptop PC, and etc. They use it for games, watch video, and doing a social media. Along with the children, teenagers, and any other age, as one of the information source of student schools and teachers need to jump in with this trend.  Therefore, ICT is becoming one part of skill that need to be mastered by the teachers. Training the teachers with ICT and prepare the programme for it is really important as they will shaped the students in the school and from there, the good quality students will be produced and ready to work in society. According to (Bosamia, 2018) ICT in education will help many parts inside of it to gain knowlede about the latest development. All in all, ICT is affecting many sides in human society as well as education, its optimal and correct use will bring a positive impact to this field. Therefore, this essay will explain the two disadvantages of Instagram as one of the very famous social media in this world. 2. Instagram has Become an Addiction Along with the spread of many technologies and the applications inside of them, the number of user is also increase. This increase number mean that most of the people in the world using the technologies and spending the time for that too. The phenomena is extremely usual right now, people work, play, study, or just enjoy the spare time with the gadgets and internet as friend. However, (Ostic et al., 2021) stated that this situation start to climb into a  higher level of worried. When people mostly only faces their phones or laptops, this absolutely will affect their social life, the interaction with people next or around them, the communication between one and another, the affection for each other, and etc. (Ostic et al., 2021) stated that human behavior already affect with the unmoving things. Such as, AI, ICT, or anything that resemblence to them. Human kind generation in this era has grown so much amazing and incredible innovations, inventions, and creations. Yet, the moral and manner have been downgrade to the level we human ourselves did not recognize a whole of them. People will more interested with their social media nd games rather than chatting with their family or friends. It just like entering another world that some people might think that is better than this real life. Modernization has feed humans with so many facilities at the point people are being controled by them. The innventions are invented to help mankind and creatures in the world. It is created because it is needed by the living. However, all of these easy things make people become " too easy". Instagram is one of the most use and famous social media application around the world has become one of the influence and cause of people addiction. 3. Instagram  and Low Academic Performance of Students Students academic performance in school is a students performance related with their study and lesson in the school, weather intra or extracullicular. So, low academic performance means the one that is unsatisfactory or not as desired to be reached. Then, What does this relationship with the Instagram?. Is Instagram and students academic performance are good friends, not friend at all, or frienemy (friend and enemy).  Thus, let us talk more about that in the following explanations.                Nowadays, many age range around the world especially children from millenials and Gen Z are raelly familiar with internet as they are the native users of it. The growth of technology has impcted many field including education. In order to gain more knowledge and following the globalization spread schools have to adapt with many  modern devices. Such as, gadgets, laptop, PC, and etc. this also means that student need to use them for study, stated (Bosamia, 2018). It might be not all students but even in home start from their own family the students already have access to the internet with different purpose that is entertainment. It means  that students  have double job regarding with the use of internet or ICT. It is not only education, yet almost all parts of this world related with ICT these days. However, education as one pillar of human to become a “human” in society has got disturb by this unwise use of the technology by the users.   4. Conclusion Instagram has two disadvantages. They are, the cause of addiction and related to the first one, it is cause a low academic performance of students. One of the most popular social media is could not be denied Instagram.  Instagram helps people to communicate and share any kinds of information with the broad scoup, world. ICT or Information communication and technology is In more specific field like education ICT plays a very important role these days and probably in the future. The learning material, methodologies, facilities, and etc. Could be fulfilled even might be far more interesting with ICT rather than traditional way. So, school need to adapt and follow the trend and this means more time for students to be in front of their gadgets. Instagram is one of the most use and famous social media application around the world has become one of the influence and cause of people addiction. That also affect the field of education as one pillar of human to become a “human” in society. It has got disturb by this unwise use of the technology by the users.
